Club Trips

At NACC we are very lucky to have a number of members who regularly lead organised trips for us. These range from lazy summer days meandering along our local rivers and canals to thrilling white water trips and challenging sea adventures. These trips allow our members to explore the waterways in the safe and supportive atmosphere that paddling in a group provides.

A list of upcoming trips can be found on the members’ Facebook page. The vast majority of our trips are planned to be all-inclusive and are intended for paddlers of all abilities. A normal NACC trip will include a wonderfully wide range of paddlers and boats! Notes and photos from previous trips are available to give you an idea of what to expect.

Please read the trip description to ensure the trip is suitable for you, any questions please ask! The trip leader will always be happy to help.

A small number of trips may not be suitable for everyone. The trip leader will be sure to give an honest opinion whether the trip is suitable for you and will always keep your safety as the highest priority.

On some trips a certain level of skill or fitness may be required to ensure the safety of yourself and the group as a whole. More advanced trips also require a degree of flexibility as conditions may change, it’s not unusual for a white water trip to be cancelled on the day or a sea trip to change location at the last minute due to a change in wind direction!

To sign up for a trip simply click “going” on the Facebook event or contact the trip leader or trips officer directly to show interest.

Help is always available with unloading and carrying boats. You will need to bring food and drink for the day, lunch normally involves a picnic on the river bank but sometimes access to a café or pub is possible.

Club equipment is available for organised trips. If required its hire should be arranged in advance with the equipment officer.
