Summer Training Programme

Our popular range of courses over the summer is back for 2023. They are designed to get you started with paddling or to develop your skills further.

NACC is an inclusive club and welcomes everyone who would like to have a go at paddling.

Courses are for club members only. To take part in a course you will need to be or become a member of the North Avon Canoe Club (NACC).

There are 3 courses to choose from:

Adult Beginners Kayak – seven-week course ( 9 May – 27 June) £70.00 or £105.00 with kit hire. A great place to start from scratch and work towards a British Canoeing Discover award if you want to. Dates include a break for half term on 30 May when you are welcome to join us for a social paddle.

Junior Kayak – seven-week course ( 9 May – 27 June) £70.00 or £105.00 with kit hire. A great place to start with the basics and work towards a Paddle Discover award. A fun course tailored towards the younger paddler ( 8- 14 years). Dates include a break for half term on 30 May when you are welcome to join us for a social paddle.

Adult Beginner’s/Intermediate Canoe – seven-week course (9 May – 27 June) £70.00 or £105.00 with kit hire. Start from the basics and become a confident open canoeist, optional assessment for the British Canoeing Paddle Discover Award is included.

Dates include a break for half term on 30 May when you are welcome to join us for a social paddle.

Just want to have a go?

Come and Try it!   It is £5 per night for members or £15 for non-members. A weekly pay-as-you-go taster session for anyone wanting to try out the sport. No commitment, just fun! Please book a ticket so we can make sure we have a boat for you. (16 May – 27 June 2023).
