Paddlesport Training
As a club, we are committed to skill development and to catering for all ages and abilities. You can start from scratch and learn the basics, and develop into a confident paddler in open canoe or kayak.
At the heart of our training programme are the Tuesday night sessions on the River Avon at Saltford, which run throughout the summer. These are led by our coaches and experienced paddlers, and all kit can be hired from the club. You can work towards one of the British Canoeing Paddle Awards – Paddle Start, Paddle Discover and Paddle Explore.

We support our experienced paddlers to develop their coaching, leadership and rescue skills so that they in turn can help others.
Each year we run two special weekends away: the Biblins summer camp on the banks of the River Wye where you can camp or stay in a bunk house, play on the renowned Symonds Yat rapids and take part in a journey as a group; and the White Water weekend in Devon in the late Autumn where you can have fun developing your white-water skills in a kayak or canoe on the lovely Devon rivers.
