Trip Reports - Flatwater and Touring Trips

Like many others from NACC this summer, I ran this fantastic 90km solo in sea kayak, rough camping over 2.5  days in early September. I had fantastic weather - 24 slides to summarise are here:

But you really must do this trip sometime - just get the SCA guide (Google took me straight there), it has all the info you need (and almost nothing else to bore you!). SCA knock the pants off Canoe England!

The most useful bit of planning information was the from the SCA Canoe Trail Guide to the Great Glen

I have maps if anyone would like to borrow them.

Happy paddling,

Trip Reports - Flatwater and Touring Trips

Whilst some club members had gone off in search of dammed water, four intrepid kayakers took on the mighty Axe! OK so the water was not exactly rapid but there was a large gathering of craft ready for the 2009 Axe race. Briefing over, on to the water, and away we go. The race start is split into age groups and type of craft with the longer canoes and sea kayaks starting last.
