The arrival of a Wilderness Northstar

This is a 20foot tandem sea kayak made in plastic. This is probably most realistic 2 man sea kayak available. I have recently tried out the demo boat from Palm. Although a heavy boat - good job there are two of you!, it goes very well in a straight line at a reasonable speed. There is a rudder to turn the boat (takes a bit to get used too) which means the paddlers only have to paddle forward. During the test we paddle with and into the waves as well as a bit of surfing, I found it to be very stable, although Anna did get a little damp going through a couple of waves and I lost my Twix.

This boat will enable anyone who feels a bit nervous about going solo on the sea by combining themselves with a more able paddler.

The boat is coming via Outdoor Active with two paddles and a trolley to make the carrying easier. See the link for photos.

lots of people still struggle on how to tie boats onto cars so i came across this short video clip. I know it relates to sea kayaks but is exactly the same principal for all kayaks.
