North Avon Canoe Club is a friendly club, that caters for all types of paddler - young or old, male or female - it doesn't matter, we are only here to enjoy our canoeing with other like minded people. As a non-member you may attend up to three club events before you are required to pay membership. Membership is paid yearly in February, and entitles you to use the club's facilities. The club is affiliated to the British Canoe Union (BCU). Membership RatesFor those that forget, the membership year starts at beginning of February each year. The fees for the year 2006 are as follows:
For those not already members of the BCU, an extra £1.00 per person will be added to the cost above. A child is someone who is under 16 years of age. The membership form can be downloaded below. Please send the form along with payment to the membership secretary. LiabilityBeing a member of North Avon Canoe Club automatically gives you Third Party liability insurance cover for your entire club canoeing activities. This cover also applies to prospective members for the first three canoeing events (including pool sessions) that they attend. It is therefore regarded as imperative for people to join after these three events (or rejoin by the appropriate date). It's the individual's own responsibility to ensure that they have Personal Accident cover and it would be wise to check how your insurance covers you for canoeing, particularly on higher grade waters. Membership FormPlease download a Membership Form, print out and return with your fees. If you have trouble openning the file, please try downloading and installing a PDF reader.
